Hi, my name is Kirsty. I’m a Mum (fairly new to it), Wife, and Trained Nurse (not so new to the latter two). Welcome to my blog (I don’t feel quite right calling it that, as I’m no pro, but a blog it is).
I would say my Uni days were when my beauty product obsession got into full swing, but my love affair started long before that. I have a vivid memory of concocting a very odd looking batch of rose perfume at a very young age (my neighbours roses may have been missing a petal or two), and I loved to offer up my lovely (I use that term loosely) makeovers to any willing candidates. I loved to chat about beauty products with friends, and luckily enough my Sister’s shared my love too. I was also very lucky to have two Grannies, who had drawers of lotions and potions, they were like treasure troves! I loved watching them popping on face creams, and spritzing their favourite scent (ahh, I'm feeling all nostalgic).
Fast-forward several years, and I made it to Uni, and all the girly nights in/out lent themselves to becoming a little more than obsessed with beauty products. I loved, when we were having a rare (frequent) night out, how our beauty chat, and getting done up, was as important as the actual night out itself. I loved how the products had the power to uplift us, and provided a little boost to our confidence.
So, the nights out have tailed off a little, and I’m a responsible (cough) adult, in charge of a lovely little person, these days. That said, I still love make-up and beauty products, and would say that they are as important to me now, as they ever were. The slight snag for my bank balance is, that on top of my beauty product love, I now have a new found addiction to shopping for all things baby, eek!
Addressing the spending issue; I started looking to blogs for reviews of products, because I knew that I was prone to making some poor choices when it came to my purchases, and had an abundance of unsuitable products. I loved (still love) settling down to read the latest beauty and Mum and baby chat. It's not just about reading reviews any more, there is so much more to it than that.
I have been, and continue to be inspired by various blogs, and have decided that I want to share my thoughts/ramblings. If nothing else, this will serve as a wee journal, and a place for me to blether away ( it will give my friend’s, and family’s ears a break).
Just in case you're curious, some of my favourite blogs are: viviannadoesmakeup, amodelrecommends, lilypebbles,
hannahmaggs, carolinehirons, and sprinkleofglitter. These women are amazing at what they do.

I’d like to thank you if you have taken the time to read this, and welcome any questions/tips/suggestions.
